Twitch announces Genshin Impact extension, special stream with TinaKitten
Twitch will join forces with Genshin Impact to celebrate the release of the game’s 2.0 update with a special Twitch extension.
With the extension, which will feature Genshin Impact’s Paimon, viewers will be able to get special rewards for watching Genshin Impact streamers. For this extension, viewers worldwide will have to collectively “like” Paimon 2,020,928 times to unlock their rewards. This Sunday (August 15) from 9 p.m. PST to 12 a.m. PST, TinaKitten will be the first in North America to have this extension on their stream. A special Twitch emote titled HungryPaimon will also be released to coincide with the new extension.
Released last September, Genshin Impact has quickly become a success for game studio miHoYo with over $1 billion earned in microtransactions within the first six months of the game’s release. At The Game Awards last year, Genshin Impact was nominated for Best RPG and Best Mobile Game. Genshin Impact can be downloaded for free here.
