Toxic Crusaders video game arrives in December 2025

Forthcoming beat-’em-up Toxic Crusaders will be out in time for the holiday season.

Revealed at San Diego Comic Con, the game will be released on December 4 via the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). A new release date trailer can be seen here.

A synopsis for Toxic Crusaders, which is a continuation of the 90s cartoon series, reads:

The Toxic Crusaders are back to defend Tromaville against the evil Dr. Killemoff and his army of Radiation Rangers. With local co-op, you can grab up to four friends and take on the forces of Smogula across a variety of vibrant pixel-art levels. Choose from seven playable characters and dive into an action-packed, pun-filled adventure that’ll drag you through the wonderful world of Troma!

A demo is available on Steam right now here.

The game comes months after the theatrical release of the highly anticipated The Toxic Avenger, which will arrive on August 29. Tickets can be purchased here.
