Top Cow and EP1T0ME release free 20-page preview of The Clay People: Colossus

Top Cow and EP1T0ME are giving fans a taste of their forthcoming one-shot The Clay People: Colossus today.
The comic book is inspired by The Clay People’s "Colossus" from their 2018 studio album Demon Hero and Other Extraordinary Phantasmagoric Anomalies & Fables. EP1T0ME president Richard Leibowitz said this about the song’s influence on the one-shot:
"The song means different things to different people; the more we heard it, the more we envisioned a story about an underdog with new-found, out-of-control power and the ramifications that using it would bring.”
The one-shot, which was co-written by Matt Hawkins (Think Tank, Swing) and Christian DiBari (Magdalena), follows a biracial boy using their supernatural powers to defend themselves from bullies.
Top Cow president Matt Hawkins talked about how the song hit close to home:
"After Rich pitched Colossus, I listened to the song and the lyrics really spoke to me. My sons are bi-racial, so the story made me think; so much so that I offered to write it myself. Intolerance, drug addiction, poverty and boredom pave a perfect storm for a revenge tale of grisly proportions!"
The Clay People: Colossus will be released on March 18. The free preview can be seen here.
