Toei Animation's ONN'ON STUDIOS announces anime watch party on VR Chat
Toei Animation's ONN'ON STUDIOS will celebrate anime with a special watch party.
Announced today, the new business venture for Toei Animation will head to VR Chat this Friday to watch episodes of Digimon Adventure and Magical Doremi on a Sony CRT-based Trinitron color TV. While watching episodes, individuals can walk around and touch various items in the room. The host for this stream is Memory-chan, who’ll be voiced by Sally Amaki (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!, Overwatch 2). For this event, Hiromi Seki, who was the producer for the anime, will arrive to discuss making the series.

Released in 1999, Digimon Adventure, which was based on the Digimon video game, became a major hit in the United States. The show spawned a sequel titled Digimon Adventure 02 in 2001 as well as a revival titled Digimon Adventure tri. in 2015. A reboot of the series was unveiled in 2020.
Also released in 1999, Ojamajo Doremi, which is an original property from Toei Animation, spawned a manga, animated films, video games, and a light novel. A 20th anniversary film titled Looking for Magical Doremi was released in 2020.
