The Rolling Stones unveil previously unreleased track "Scarlet" featuring Jimmy Page

The Rolling Stones have released their long-lost track “Scarlet” featuring Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Blind Faith's Rick Gerch today.

The track was originally recorded back in October 1974. Guitarist Keith Richards stated:

“My recollection is we walked in at the end of a Zeppelin session. They were just leaving and we were booked in next and I believe that Jimmy decided to stay. We weren’t actually cutting it as a track, it was basically for a demo, a demonstration, you know, just to get the feel of it, but it came out well, with a line up like that, you know, we better use it.”

“Scarlet” stems from The Rolling Stones forthcoming release Goats Head Soup 2020. Set for a September 4 release, this features a remastered version of the 1973 album along with a slew of outtakes, demos, live tracks, and three unreleased songs. Pre-orders for the record can be made here.
