'The Portal' delivers 'Twilight Zone' madness every Sunday at the Impro Theatre

From Ripley Improv to The Improvised Generation, Los Angeles’ Impro Theatre is the home of fantastic performances every week. Now, they’re headed to another dimension on Sundays.
The Portal, which is produced by Jo McGinley, is a tribute to the classic series The Twilight Zone. Each week, the audience can throw suggestions to be used during three segments. With the talented individuals on stage, things can get wild in an instant.
What makes this show special is anyone in the world can watch it unfold from their devices. You can livestream the event every Sunday on their Twitch channel. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can pick up tickets here to catch it in person. The Portal begins at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST.
Tomorrow (August 17), Kirsten Farrell, Lisa Fredrickson, Brian Michael Jones, Stephen Kearin, Nick Massouh, and Mike Rock will be part of the cast. Next Sunday (August 25), the cast will include Ted Cannon, Lisa Fredrickson, Madi Goff, Stephen Kearin, Nick Massouh, Jo McGinley, and Mike Rock. The lineup can change, so be sure to check out their website for updated information.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
