The Misfits set to replace Megadeth at Psycho Las Vegas 2019

In a complete shock to many, iconic New Jersey punk group The Misfits are replacing Megadeth at this year’s Psycho Las Vegas.
The festival made the announcement yesterday via social media. Megadeth had to drop off the festival due to Dave Mustaine’s throat cancer. The legendary metal band canceled every upcoming performance this year except for their own Megacruise. The Misfits will take over Megadeth’s spot on Saturday, August 17.
The original Misfits lineup reunited in 2016 to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. In a report by MetalSucks, they are contractually obligated to perform at least 10 shows with Danzig back in the band. Their 9th contracted show takes place at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle, Washington on September 14.
Their performance at Psycho Las Vegas is their second one in the area with the reunited original lineup. They performed in the MGM Grand Garden Arena back in December 2017.
