Geekon’s forthcoming survival/farming title The Last Farmer will unveil a free prologue later this month.

The Last Farmer: Prologue will be released on August 19, and it’ll give players an early look at the game. A cinematic trailer for the title can be seen here.

A synopsis for the prologue reads:

Set in the forgotten, sun-scorched deserts of Texas, "The Last Farmer: Prologue" invites players to explore the challenges of desert farming and survival. As the last hope for restoring life to this desolate land, you will face harsh environments, manage scarce resources, and build your homestead from the ground up.

In this prologue, players will learn to harvest dew, cultivate hardy crops, and tend to livestock, all while battling the relentless elements and the ever-present threat of dehydration. Resource management and strategic planning are crucial, as each decision can determine the success of your farm and your survival in this unforgiving landscape.
