The Game Awards' Player's Voice voting opens to the public

With The Game Awards arriving on Thursday, Geoff Keighley decided to do something different with The Player’s Voice.

This three-round competition allows fans to vote for their favorite game of the year. Starting today, fans can choose from 24 games, including Control, Death Stranding, and Beat Saber. Round one voting concludes tomorrow. Tuesday will see the 24 games drop to eight for some intense voting. Wednesday is the final round, which will find four games remaining for the vote. The winner will be announced at The Game Awards. Head here to cast your vote.

The ceremony celebrates the best in video games and showcases some surprises. Green Day and CHVRCHES will rock the Microsoft Theater with musical performances. This is CHVRCHES’ second time performing at the ceremony; the band played back in 2015. The ceremony, which begins on 8:30 PM ET/5:30 PM PT, will be streaming live on numerous platforms.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
