Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some improv, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (May 4 through May 10).

Thursday, May 7

Asher White @ Zebulon (2478 Fletcher Dr.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets)

Asher White will make their way to Zebulon on Thursday on their first-ever West Coast tour. The artist will be touring in support of their latest studio album Home Constellation Study. Last month, White delivered the song "Nightingale Version (Sailor's Moon)." Lauren Bousfield and Morning Forever will be the opening acts.

Friday, May 8

Little French Boy @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 6:50 p.m. (tickets)

Pack Theater sketch team Little French Boy will hold a special Friday show this week. The cast includes Carey Adkins, Caleb Dollar, Matt Duckett, Laura Manasewich, Josh Noble, Lizzy Rudakas, and Hannah Watzke.

Saturday, May 9

Tax Bud: Accountant Dog @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 8:50 p.m. (free tickets)

Join a handful of improvisers as they read the screenplay of Tax Bud: Accountant Dog. Co-written by Niv Brook, Dan Duddy, and Miles Roberts, Tax Bud: Accountant Dog tells the story of a dog who can do taxes. Joseph Dailey, Maria Felix, Dominique Johnson, and Stephen Loh will be part of the table read. This event is free to the public.

Pleather @ The Stray Theater (4319 Melrose Ave.)
Doors: 8:45 p.m. (tickets)

Improv group Pleather will celebrate spring with a special comedy show at The Stray Theater. Joining Pleather on stage will be a character performance from Linzy Beltran and improv groups Summer Camp Romance and Snack Run. Pleather can be seen every 1st and 3rd Sunday at The Pack Theater alongside Dogs Drink Free.

Sunday, May 10

Tripping Daisy @ Lodge Room (104 N Ave 56 2nd floor)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Alternative rock band Tripping Daisy will bring their I Am an Elastic Firecracker 30th anniversary tour to the Lodge Room on Sunday. The 12-track album features the hit single "I Got a Girl" as well as "PirANhA" and "Trip Along." Jumprope will be the opening act.

Lisa Wallen @ Petty Cash Studios (8949 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7:30 p.m. (tickets)

Comedian Lisa Wallen will have a special headlining show at Petty Cash Studios to run through some new material. Last year, Wallen released their comedy special Lisa Wallen Leaves The House on YouTube. The special was filmed at Level 7 Games in Denver. Wallen will be joined by special guests Sean Dolan, Kelly Mcinerney, and Josh Waldron.
