Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (May 13 through May 19).
Monday, May 13
The Fall of Troy, The Number 12 Looks Like You @ Regent Theater (448 S Main St.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)
The Fall of Troy will make a Monday night stop in the city to perform their 2008 EP Phantom On The Horizon in its entirety. The Number 12 Looks Like You and Rhododendron will join them as support.
Thursday, May 16
Electric Six, Supersuckers @ Alex’s Bar (2913 E Anaheim St.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Electric Six and Supersuckers will bring their Cheap Salvation co-headlining tour to the region for two shows with supporting act Volk. On Thursday, they’ll be performing at Alex Bar in Long Beach while Friday will find them at The Paramount (tickets). Both shows are 21+. Electric Six will be promoting their latest album Turquoise (Metropolis Records) while Supersuckers will be plugging their 2020 studio album Play That Rock N' Roll (Acetate Records).
Friday, May 17
Panchiko @ The Novo (800 W Olympic Blvd.)

There’s a handful of tickets left to catch beloved indie rock band Panchiko headline The Novo on Friday. The band will be in town plugging their latest studio album Failed at Maths. Our review of their previous Los Angeles performance at the Fonda Theatre can be read here. Wisp and Weatherday will join them as support.
Saturday, May 18
Ghouls' Day Out (My Chemical Romance fan event) @ Immanuel Presbyterian Church (3300 Wilshire Blvd.)

SpooksieBoo Events’ Ghouls’ Day Out returns to Immanuel Presbyterian Church to celebrate the legacy of My Chemical Romance. Fans will be able to take photos where the “Helena” music video was shot as well as check out some neat vendors and listen to live music from acts such as Green Day tribute band Green Today and My Chemical Romance tribute band Sweet Revenge.
Emo Orchestra w/Escape The Fate @ Orpheum Theatre (842 S Broadway)

Emo Orchestra will take over Orpheum Theatre to bring some of put an orchestral spin on some beloved emo songs with the help of Escape The Fate. The band will perform a set of their own songs as well.
2024 Monster Jam World Finals @ SoFi Stadium (1001 Stadium Dr.)
Doors: 10 a.m. (tickets)
The 2024 Monster Jam World Finals will bring the best monster truck riders together for a massive showdown to see who’s number one. While the main action begins around 6 p.m., doors will open at 10 a.m. for The Pit Party, which allows attendees to meet the riders and see some wild freestyle motocross competition. The event will also be livestreamed on Monster Jam’s website.
Rosie Tucker, Sweet Nobody @ Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st St.)

Los Angeles indie rock artist Rosie Tucker will conclude their headlining tour with a hometown performance at Moroccan Lounge. The artist is promoting their new record UTOPIA NOW! (Sentimental Records). Sweet Nobody will be the opening act.
Front Row Card Show @ Pasadena Convention Center (300 East Green St.)

Collectors of all kinds will make their way to Pasadena Convention Center for this weekend’s Front Row Card Show event, which also takes place on Sunday. Tara Sands, who does the voice of Bulbasaur in the Pokémon series, will make a special appearance.
Sunday, May 19
Lisa Wallen @ The Nitecap (2200 W Burbank Blvd.)
Doors: 7:30 p.m. (tickets) 18+
Comedian/Twitch streamer Lisa Wallen will have a special headlining performance at The Nitecap. The Seattle-born, Los Angeles-based comedian has performed at various clubs along the West Coast and engaged in stand-up comedy gigs in Japan. They recently performed at Treefort Music Festival, Wet City Comedy Fest, and Upper Left Comedy Festival.
