Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some improv, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (June 8 through June 14).
Friday, June 12
CD Ghost @ The Roxy (9009 West Sunset Blvd.)

Los Angeles synthpop act CD Ghost will have a hometown show at The Roxy on the final days of their headlining tour. The band will preview material from their forthcoming studio album When The Rain Stops, which arrives on July 31 via Born Losers Records. Primer and MIDI Memory will be the opening acts.
Saturday, June 13
Wildly Appropriate: An All-Ages Improv Show @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

If you're looking for a more family-friendly improv show, UCB Theatre is the place to be for Wildly Appropriate: An All-Ages Improv Show. Co-hosted by seven-year-old Mae Tarica Fernie as well as Deborah Tarica and Alex Fernie, the show will allow kids from the audience to hop onto the stage to do improv. Rekha Shankar, Alex Bonifer, Andree Vermeulen, and Aman Adumer will be the special guests for Saturday's show.
Superego 20th anniversary show @ Dynasty Typewriter (2511 Wilshire Blvd.)

Beloved podcast Superego will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special live show at the Dynasty Typewriter. The show will feature Matt Gourley, Jeremy Carter, Mark McConville, Paul F. Tompkins, and Andy Daly. Livestream tickets are also available.
Sunday, June 14
LA Pride Parade @ Hollywood Boulevard
Start time: 11 a.m.
The 56th annual LA Pride Parade goes down this Sunday, and thousands of people will take over Hollywood Blvd for a massive celebration. The event is free to the public. More information about the LA Pride Parade and its accompanying events can be found here.
Flight Risk & Vogue @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Pack Theater sketch comedy teams Flight Risk and Vogue will join forces for a night of laughter. Flight Risk features John Backstrom, Kayla Caviedes, Andrew Colford, Julia Germeroth, Daria Grace, Tangila Lee, Nate Lawler, Meredith McClure, Jacob Nakshian, Lilian Tanner, John Potter, and Devyn Ward. Vogue includes Shea Depmore, Max Gieser, Joe Hirte, Emily Mae Kemp, Richard Lee, Sarah Lento, Jordy Martin, Matt Newcomb, Jessie Linn Obana, Victor Olivas, Clark Pavlik, and Eden Rousso.
