Tuesday, July 16
TemperMental, Malicious Intent @ 33rd Hill Music Hall (3226 South Hill St.)
Doors: 7:30 p.m.
Secondhand Summerfest will take over 33rd Hill Music Hall with local bands Malicious Intent, TemperMental, Halfway to Neptune, and 608 Dropout hitting the stage. Tickets will be $10 before the first band hits the stage at 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., entry will be $15.
Wednesday, July 17
Shutups, high. @ Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st St.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Oakland rock band Shutups will bring their West Coast tour to Moroccan Lounge with special guests high., outwest, and jawdropped. Shutups will be plugging their latest album I can't eat nearly as much as I want to vomit, which we listed as one of the best albums of 2022.
Friday, July 19
Goldfinger, Save Ferris @ The Wiltern (3790 Wilshire Blvd.)
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets)
Goldfinger are bringing some old friends together for a massive show at The Wiltern on Friday. Ska punk band Save Ferris and Unwritten Law will bring some nostalgia alongside rising punk band Urethane. This Friday, Goldfinger will deliver their cover of "I Had Some Help" featuring Less Than Jake. A plethora of Goldfinger's music has been featured in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Not Another Teen Movie, and Eurotrip.
RuPaul's DragCon @ L.A. Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa St.)
Doors: 10 a.m. (tickets)
Thousands of drag enthusiasts will make their way to the L.A. Convention Center for the 2024 installment of RuPaul's DragCon. Since debuting back in 2015, RuPaul's DragCon has brought some of the biggest drag queens to the city for one unforgettable event. Nearly 200 drag queens will be present at the convention, including Bianca Del Rio, Crystal Methyd, and Lady Boom Boom.
Saturday, July 20
Pedro The Lion, Danielle Durack @ Lodge Room (104 N Ave 56 2nd floor)
Doors: 7:30 p.m. (tickets)
Beloved Seattle indie rock band Pedro The Lion will head to Lodge Room to support their new studio album Santa Cruz. For this trek, vocalist David Bazan will be playing drums live for the first time. Danielle Durack, who’ll be supporting their new album Escape Artist, will be the opening act.
