Tuesday, January 23
That's What She Said! Comedy Night @ Fan Girl Café (8157 Santa Monica Blvd Suite A)

Fan Girl Café will host their first-ever comedy night on Tuesday, and they're bringing some of the brightest female-identifying and LGBTQIA+ talent to deliver some laughs. Hosted by Tracey Hassel, the event will feature comedy sets from Bri Giger, Jody Ferdig, Effie Meadows, Bethany Vee, Joy Mamey, and Raye Schiller.
Wednesday, January 24
Explosions In The Sky @ The Wiltern (3790 Wilshire Blvd)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Post-rock band Explosions In The Sky will have a two-night stint at The Wiltern in support of their new studio album End, which is the follow-up to their 2016 studio album The Wilderness. Kraus will open both nights. Night two will go down on Thursday.
J.O. Comedy & Variety Show @ Mid City Yacht Club

Monthly comedy/variety event The J.O. Show returns to Mid City Yacht Club for another night of entertainment. Hosted by Em Bolka, the event will feature Brian Bahe, Brittany Ross, Heather Gardner, Madi Hart, Clowns Of Color, Lane Unsworth, Jason Kaye, and an unnamed music act. Online ticket purchases come with a free soft drink.
Friday, January 26
Xenites Reunion Weekend 2024 @ Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport (2500 Hollywood Way)

Xena: Warrior Princess fans will head to the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport to celebrate the beloved show during the three-day Xenites Reunion Weekend 2024. Stars from the show, including Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor, will be in attendance for photo ops and autographs.
Escuela Grind, Take Offense @ The Paramount (2708 E Cesar E Chavez Ave)

While Escuela Grind vocalist Katerina Economou got injured at a show recently, the band's headlining tour will still go on with a Friday night stop in Los Angeles. The grindcore band are touring in support of their new DDEEAATTHHMMEETTAALL EP. Joining them as support are Take Offense, Bonginator, and Slow Pulse.
Saturday, January 27
Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 @ Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street)

Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 is bringing Dragon Ball action to Los Angeles this weekend. The event is highlighted by the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour finals, which takes place on Sunday. Last Chance Qualifiers for the finals will go down on Saturday. The Dragon Ball Super Card Game will also be represented with the 2023 North America Final Championship and World Championship. Free visitor admission is still available right now.
Otaku Nightz III @ DTLA Arts District (677 Imperial St)
Doors: 12 p.m. (free to the public)
All ages event Otaku Nightz III will bring weebs together with a slew of vendors, music, and wrapped cars. Some of the vendors slated to appear include Demonix, Crisis Culture, and Nippon Niche. A cosplay contest will go down at 4 p.m. for those wanting to dress up for the occasion. After the event ends at 8 p.m., a 21+ afterparty will go down starting at 9 p.m. Tickets for the afterparty are on sale to the general public here.
Karaoke Time Machines Throwback Karaoke @ Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st Street)

Karaoke Time Machines will have their first show of 2024 this Saturday, and they're letting attendees rock out to songs from the 70s,80s, and 90s in front of a packed house. Aside from karaoke, there will also be a costume contest.
Sunday, January 28
Pasadena Comic Con @ Pasadena Convention Center (300 E Green St.)

Pasadena Comic Con returns to the Pasadena Convention Center for a one-day celebration of pop culture. Guests for the event includes cast members of Bleach, Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi, and The Fairly Oddparents alongside Guest of Honor Sid Krofft.
