Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (December 1 through December 7).
Tuesday, December 2
Byland @ Healing Force of the Universe (1200 East Walnut St.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Seattle indie rock artist Byland will have a special duo show at Pasadena's Healing Force of the Universe. The artist will be in town promoting their latest studio album Heavy For A While. Zander Hawley and Mel Guérison will also perform.
Wednesday, December 3
Bonus Feature and Good Sandwich @ Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Sketch teams Bonus Feature and Good Sandwich will both have their debut shows at Pack Theater on Wednesday. Bonus Feature includes team members Wylie Anderson, Aleks Arcabascio, Dan Burger, Nia Ceasar, Diana Francis, Christine Lawless, Christopher Nakao, Lindsay Nuckel, Michael Shacket, Zach Stamps, Rebekah Swann, Monty Williams, and Gerald Yelverton. Good Sandwich features team members Jack Boston, Aine Geraghty, Greg St. Greg, Mackenzie Horras, Jake Knox, Samantha Manning, Charlotte Morrisey, Ronny Pascale, Eric Phillips, Alex Ramirez, Anika Ramlo, Corey Taft, and Kaley Vetter.

Co-hosted by Andres Parada and Inessa Frantowski, UCB's It Sucked! Awards celebrates the bad things of 2025. During the show, various comedians will display the worst of the year via character bits, sketches, and impressions. Individuals set to appear during the event are Max Hawksford, Ahsohn Williams, Adam Cawley, Slento, Caroline Cummings, D.J. Mausner, Ell C. Dellorso, Monique Moses, Alyssa Sabo, Cam Gavinski, Carl Foreman Jr., Paul Heredia, Colin Murphy, Amadeo Fusca, Paul Robalino, Kevin Braunschweig, Billy Domineau, Ryan Coil, Andrew Young, Kyle Lehner, Teruko Nakajima, and Jess Uhler.

A Christmas Carol will get the clown musical treatment at A John Newspaper Christmas Carol. The cast for this show features Athena Reddy as John Newspaper, Danelle Von Visger as Roderick Newspaper, Michael Colby as The Christmas Tree, Alex Derderian as Santa Claus, Kevin Chu as Thomas Tabloid, Dominic Ciccodicola as Lysander Pamphlet, Frank Reed as The Ghost of 2025, and Helen Park as Techno Lucifer.
Friday, December 5
Anna of the North, Rachel Bochner @ The Roxy (9009 West Sunset Blvd.)

Norwegian singer-songwriter Anna of the North will conclude their U.S. tour with a headlining performance at The Roxy. The show coincides with the release of Anna of the North's forthcoming studio album Girl in a Bottle, which arrives this Friday on Play It Again Sam. Rachel Bochner will be the opening act.
Mindblower @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Hosted by Andrew Mena, Mindblower is a variety show featuring a plethora of wild characters and hijinks. Friday's show will feature special guests Bryn Woznicki, Joy Mamey, and Colin Stanley. The main cast for Mindblower features Shaun Cruz, Rebecca Del Sesto, Gavin Velez, Luce Tomlin-Brenner, Jon Bershad, Jason Redlitz, William Evans, and bandleader Joseph Dailey.
Saturday, December 6
Anime Days @ The Compound by Dirt Dog (2909 Supply Ave.)

A special December installment of Anime Days will make its way to Commerce this Saturday. The one-day event will feature 100 vendors, live entertainment, and special guests Yong Yea and Kimberly Woods.
Glare, Glixen @ El Rey Theatre (5515 Wilshire Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
A handful of tickets remains for Glare's and Glixen's co-headlining performance at El Rey Theatre. Glare will be supporting their debut album Sunset Funeral while Glixen will be promoting their Quiet Pleasures EP. Vs Self, who performed at Coachella and ZBR Fest this year, will be the opening act.
Riff Raff with Billy Myers III @ The Comedy Store (Belly Room) (8433 Sunset Blvd.)

This Saturday's Riff Raff with Billy Myers III will be a special occasion celebrating Billy's birthday. A handful of comedians will bounce between diving into random topics on stage and engaging in wild challenges such as cutting a wrestling promo on stage and engaging in an arm wrestling contest. Saturday's lineup includes Chad Damiani, Daniel Van Kirk, Shaena Rabbani, Simon Gibson, Ashley Johnson, and Handren Seavey.
Sunday, December 7
Mega64 @ Teragram Ballroom (1234 West 7th St.)

Mega64 will conclude a trilogy of shows at Teragram Ballroom this Sunday with their Christmas Spectacular. A handful of VIP passes are still available for the show. A VIP pass includes a ticket to the show, early entry, exclusive merch, and a meet and greet/photo op.
Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr.)

Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! will deliver another humorous live show at The Elysian. In the D&D/improv comedy show, four low-level heroes go up against a powerful creature. The cast for Sunday's show features Ify Nwadiwe (Um Actually), Jacob Wysocki (Dropout TV), Noura Ibrahim (Vampire The Masquerade: L.A. By Night), and Jon Ciccolini (FPWKK) with Jared Logan (Glass Cannon Network) as the DM. Bill Rehor will hold things down as the host. Livestream tickets are also available.
