The best Halloween 2024 events in Los Angeles
Halloween is coming soon, and folks have already begun celebrating with a slew of horror movie marathons. As expected, there's a massive amount of parties taking place all over Los Angeles in celebration of the spooky season. If you're looking for something to do, here's a handful of great Halloween events taking place in the city.
Saturday, October 26
AKIBA LIVE: Vtuber & Idol Scream and Sing @ Little Akihabara
Doors: 1 p.m. all ages (tickets)
Akiba Live will bring something spooky to their monthly live event at Little Akihabara in Little Tokyo. For Vtuber & Idol Scream and Sing, attendees will be greeted by a slew of live performances from acts such as Hamu Cotton, Asayoru Café, and Shibuya Meltdown. At 6:30, a special open mic karaoke will be free to the public.
Club 90s Presents: Tim Burton Ball @ Catch One
Doors: 9 p.m. 18+ (tickets)
Club 90s is getting into the Halloween mood with the Tim Burton Ball, which will take over three rooms inside Catch One. Halloweentown will feature throwbacks, 00s, early 10s and party anthems while Oogie Boogie Disco will feature a slew of emo and indie jams. The third and final room Wednesday’s Rave-N-Dance will feature nothing but 80s jams. This event is always a sold-out affair, so get tickets now before it's too late.
The Boulet Brothers Annual Los Angeles Halloween Ball @ The Belasco
Doors: 10 p.m. 18+ (tickets)
The Boulet Brothers will bring their annual Halloween celebration to The Belasco this Saturday. The event will feature appearances Jimbo The Drag Clown, Asia Consent, and Grey Matter. A costume contest will also take place with $1,000 in prizes and giveaways.
Sunday, October 27
Seaside Screams, TemperMental @ Universal Bar & Grill
Doors: 4 p.m. (all ages)
If you’re looking to vibe with some local music, Universal Bar & Grill will have a special Halloween celebration with performances from Seaside Screams, Tokyo Riot, TemperMental, Pythies, and Respite. Admission is $10 if you’re wearing a costume and $15 without a costume.
Tuesday, October 29
D.R. Cabarets' Murder at The Mint @ The Mint
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (all ages) (tickets)
Directed by Dana Resnick, D.R. Cabarets’ Murder at the Mint is an interactive murder mystery combining the worlds of Broadway, television, and film to help solve the case. Among those set to appear during the event are Nicole Clemetson (Starfield), Keiva Bradley (Adam in Fragments), and Sara Bunge (Jesus Christ Superstar). Peder Lindell, who is best known for their work on Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red, will be the special guest host for the evening.

Halloween Carnaval @ West Hollywood
Doors: 6 p.m. (all ages)
West Hollywood's iconic Halloween Carnaval will make its return to take over a one-mile stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard between N. Doheny Drive and N. La Cienega Boulevard. Attendees can expect DJ sets, food trucks, and some wild costumes throughout the streets.
The Joe Travers Haunted Halloween Bash @ The Mint
Doors: 7:15 p.m. 21+ (tickets)
Joe Travers will bring some live music at their Haunted Halloween Bash, which features Eric Dover, Koko Powell, Jake Faun, and Sarah Contreras joining them on stage. Aside from live music, attendees with enjoy trivia and giveaways.
The Witching Hours Presents: Halloween 60s Covers @ Harvard & Stone
Doors: 8 p.m. 21+ (tickets)
Take a trip back to the 60s with The Witching Hours Presents: Halloween 60s Covers. Daisychain will play tunes from The Velvet Underground, Britain's Finest will channel The Beatles, and Ingredient 10 will rock out with songs from The Doors. DJ Sheepspeak will spin tunes in between each set.
