The Antlers release new single “I Was Not There," announce show at Le Poisson Rouge
Brooklyn indie rock band The Antlers have unveiled their new single “I Was Not There” today.
The new song, which can be heard below, includes Logan Coale (The National, NOW Ensemble, Taylor Swift) on upright bass. Vocalist Peter Silberman said this about the new song, which is out on digital services right now via Transgressive:
"Perhaps counterintuitively, “I Was Not There” is about the elusive experience of complete presence. Across three scenes, the song describes fleeting moments of clarity and wholeness, and the accompanying feeling of leaving yourself."
The Antlers also announced a special performance at Le Poisson Rouge on June 7 as part of LPR's 15th Anniversary Celebration. Tickets for this performance will go on sale to the general public tomorrow (March 10) at 10 a.m. EST here. Pre-sale tickets are live right now.
The Antlers’ last studio album was 2021’s Green to Gold.
