The Alarm to bring acoustic tour to California this October
The Alarm’s Mike Peters will bring a slew of acoustic shows to California in October.
Announced today, the trek will kick off on October 18 inside Montclair’s Canyon Club, and it’ll feature tops in Temecula, Agoura Hills, and San Juan Capistrano Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets for most shows will go on sale today (August 4) at 10 a.m. PST.
Peters said this about the forthcoming tour:
“It’s incredible to think that it’s forty years since The Alarm appeared on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. It only seems like yesterday that we were driving across the Bay Bridge in San Francisco on the way to our first US show with U2, and hearing Bono and The Edge on the radio interrupting the DJ and having him play ‘The Stand’ instead of their song ‘New Years Day.’ After the show, a fan came to us with a copy of The Alarm EP which IRS Records had quickly assembled from our UK singles and soon after we were invited onto US TV while still relatively unknown in the UK. The Alarm’s dream came true in America in 1983 and it’s still alive today in 2023. I can’t wait to connect with all the Californian Alarm fans this October.”
The Alarm will re-release their first four U.K. singles and their 1983 self-titled EP leading up to the trek: “Unsafe Building” (August 15), “Marching On” (August 22), “The Stand” (August 29), “The Alarm EP” (September 5) and “Sixty Eight Guns” (September 12).
The Alarm recently unveiled their new studio album Forwards.
