Takanori Nishikawa to perform opening theme song for From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman
Another trailer for the forthcoming anime series From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman has been unveiled today.
The trailer, which can be seen here, features the opening theme song “HEROES” by Takanori Nishikawa. The artist, who is best known for their music featured in Rurouni Kenshin and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, said this about performing the theme song:
Hey everyone, Takanori Nishikawa here!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be performing the opening theme song for the upcoming TV anime, "From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman"!
Over the years, I’ve been building my career, and it’s amazing to see how my music has influenced and inspired others to start their own journeys. For this project, I’m teaming up with Oki, the guitarist from Novelbright.
Oki once stood at the Inazuma Rock Festival, dreaming of becoming a professional musician. Now, we share the stage together, and I am excited to collaborate with him on this song. His energy and style felt like the perfect match for the theme of this anime, so I asked him to join in this collaboration.
This project has been incredibly exciting for me, and I truly hope this song resonates with all of you. I want it to capture the spirit of the anime and make you even more excited to watch.
Thank you for your support of "HEROES", the opening theme song, and "From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman", premiering this April!
