Wednesday, September 16

PlayStation 5 Showcase - PlayStation - 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST

Sony will unveil some new information about forthcoming PlayStation 5 games with their new showcase. In June, Sony revealed a slew of titles for the upcoming video game console. The PlayStation 5 will be released this holiday season. Two PlayStation 5 consoles will drop at launch: a regular version with a Blu-Ray drive and a cheaper digital version (sans Blu-Ray drive). Tigtone & The Never-Stopping Prophecy - Adult Swim - 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST

Adult Swim's animated series Tigtone gets the TTRPG treatment with Tigtone & The Never-Stopping Prophecy. Ify Nwadiwe, ClassyKatie, JoCat, Khalif "Khroen" Hashim, and Ezekiel_III will take part in this special tabletop session. A PDF of the game's rules can be downloaded here. Summerstage Jubilee - Summerstage NYC - 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST

A slew of major acts will come together to support Summerstage NYC's free programs. Sting, Norah Jones, Trey Anastasio, Rufus Wainwright, Leslie Odom Jr., Rosanne Cash, Emily King, and PJ Morton are among those set to deliver performances during the livestream. Throttle Remix Contest - Monstercat - 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST

Throttle and Monstercat A&R will listen to the best remixes of Throttle's single "Heroes." The contest winner will be revealed live on stream. "Heroes," which features Nicolosi, was released back in June and is featured on the new Monstercat Instinct Vol. 6 compilation. Last year, Throttle unveiled their debut EP titled Where U Are. D&D Celebration - D&D - 19:45 a.m. EST/7:45 a.m. PST

Cold Waves Festival Lost Weekend Virtual Experience - Cold Waves Festival - 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST

The Cold Waves Festival will be going virtual this weekend with their Lost Weekend event. For three days, fans will be treated to a slew of new and unreleased performances from acts such as Meat Beat Manifesto, Front Line Assembly, and Chemlab. The event will help raise money for the staff of Metro Chicago and the suicide prevention and awareness charity Darkest Before Dawn. More information on the event can be found here. QXT’s 29th Anniversary - QXTs - 8: p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST

New Jersey alternative dance club QXTs will be celebrating their 29th anniversary with a special livestream. DJs Ash, Damian Plague, Helixx, Jack.Pot, Luna, Mindsolvent, Mykill Plague, and Victrola will be spinning the best in goth, post punk, EBM, industrial, 80s, and synthwave. EDC Las Vegas 2020 lineup revealed (Alison Wonderland, Slander, Rezz)

With the 2020 installment of EDC Las Vegas a few months away, Insomniac revealed who’s rocking the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a special stream yesterday.

On Friday, May 15, fans will be treated to sets from Space Jesus, Alison Wonderland, and Seven Lions. The following day (Saturday, May 16) will feature performances from Throttle, Slander, and a special throwback set from 12th Planet. On Sunday, May 17, Rezz, Cosmic Gate, and Arty will help close the festival. The entire lineup can be seen below.

Tickets for EDC Las Vegas 2020, which marks the festival’s 10th year in Las Vegas, are already sold out, but fans can join the waitlist here.

Pepper, Kash'd Out @ Gramercy Theatre

Reggae rock trio Pepper will hit up Gramercy Theatre to promote their latest album Local Motion, which topped the Reggae Albums chart. Florida's Kash'd Out, who released their latest album Undercover last summer, and The Elovators from Boston, who will release their Double Vision EP this spring, will open.

GosT, Destryur @ Knitting Factory

Metal/synthwave act GosT will headline the Knitting Factory to promote their latest album Valediction, which is out on Century Media Records. The act has been turning heads performing alongside acts such as Carpenter Brut, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Pallbearer. Brooklyn's own Destryur, who released their album Panic last year, will open.

Throttle, Niko The Kid @ Webster Hall

Australian producer Throttle will rock Webster Hall on the tail end of their North American tour. The artist will be promoting their new Where U Are EP, which is out on Monstercat Records. While still in high school, Throttle went viral with their “Inspire” Launchpad video, which landed them an official remix for the late Avicii. Atlanta producer Niko The Kid, who worked with acts such as ODESZA and Stela Cole, will open.

Bridget Kelly @ Sony Hall

R&B singer Bridget Kelly will have a hometown performance at Sony Hall. Following their 2018 sophomore studio album Reality Bites, the artist has been steadily dropping music with their 2019 EP titled The Great Escape and standalone single "Single Player Game." In 2013, Kelly won a Grammy for writing Kelly Clarkson's album Stronger.

Donuts Are Forever: J Dilla Tribute @ Brooklyn Bowl

Since 2007, Donuts Are Forever have been held annually to pay tribute to late producer J Dilla. This year's event features a headlining performance from Pete Rock, who release a collaboration album with Skyzoo titled Retropolitan. Other acts performing are Nina Sol, Tara, JADALAREIGN, and Hasan Insane.
