Read MoreMetal supergroup Sons of Apollo will unveil their sophomore studio album MMXX on January 17, 2020 via InsideOutMusic.
Announced today, the eight track release was produced by Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian (a.k.a. The Del Fuvio Brothers). Pre-orders for the record can be made beginning on November 15. Aside from the usual CD digital, and vinyl formats, a limited edition of the album will arrive with instrumental mixes and a cappella excerpts. A teaser trailer for the album can be seen below. MMXX is the follow up to the band’s 2017 debut studio album Psychotic Symphony.
Sons of Apollo will promote the forthcoming album on tour, which kicks off on January 24 inside The Glass House in Pomona, California. The trek will take them across North America and Europe. You can check out their full tour routing below.

With their headlining tour coming up, Dream Theater have unveiled the music video for “Barstool Warrior” today. The animated visual follows two people looking to get out of their own terrible situations and find a better life. The song comes from Dream Theater’s recent studio album Distance over Time, which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
On September 26, the band will kick off the second leg of their Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory 20th anniversary tour. Tickets for these shows are on sale right now.

This fall, Dream Theater will be back on the road to continue celebrating the 20th anniversary of Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory.
Announced yesterday, the trek will include cities that weren’t featured in the tour’s first leg back in the spring. Cities such as Louisville, St. Louis, San Antonio, and Omaha will be on tap for this trek across the country. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (July 26) at 10 a.m. local time.
Aside from performing Metropolis Pt. 2 in its entirety, Dream Theater will perform a slew of fan favorites and material from their latest album Distance over Time, which was released back in February. The band will bring the anniversary tour to Europe early next year.
