The five best Valentine's Day 2020 events in NYC

Trying to find something to do on Valentine’s Day with your significant other? Fortunately, there’s plenty of activities to keep you both entertained. We’ve picked five events worth checking out with your loved one on Valentine’s Day. Tickets are on sale right now to the general public.

Anna Of The North, Dizzy Fae @ Bowery Ballroom

Norwegian electropop Anna Of The North has been gaining momentum with features on Tyler, The Creator, G-Eazy, and Honne tracks. In October, they unveiled their sophomore studio album Dream Girl, which includes the singles "Leaning On Myself" and "Used to Be." They'll be rocking Bowery Ballroom with special guest Dizzy Fae, who unveiled their NO GMO Mixtape last summer.

Juliana Hatfield, Will Dailey @ Music Hall of Williamsburg

Last year, Juliana Hatfield kept busy with the release of their 17th studio album Weird and their covers album Juliana Hatfield Sings The Police. Unlike their 2018 covers album Juliana Hatfield Sings Olivia Newton-John, Hatfield chose to incorporate more obscure Police songs in the final cut. The artist returns to Brooklyn with support from Will Dailey, who's supporting their 2018 studio album Golden Walker.

American Nightmare, Ceremony @ Brooklyn Steel

If the mosh pit is your desire, American Nightmare will arrive to Brooklyn Bowl for their 20th anniversary tour. The group recently re-released their 2001 compilation Year One, which includes their 2000 self-titled EP and their 2001 EP The Sun Isn't Getting Any Brighter. Their last studio album was their 2018 self-titled release, which was their first album in 15 years. Joining them as support are Ceremony, who are plugging their latest studio album In the Spirit World Now.

Carnegie Hall Citywide: Pistolera @ Flushing Town Hall

Brooklyn's own Pistolera will perform a special set at Flushing Town Hall. Since their formation, the Latin group have performed alongside acts such as Los Lobos and Vieux Farka Toure. Their last studio album was 2011's El Desierto Y La Ciudad. This special event, which is part of the Carnegie Hall Citywide series, is free to the public.

BE MINE: Improvisers & Their Real-Life Valentines @ UCB At SubCulture

For Valentine's Day, several improv gurus will join forces for an exciting show. They won't be performing with each other, though. They'll be doing improv scenes with their significant other. Amanda Breen, Brian Faas, Dan Glaser, Shane Nielsen, Joey Price, Billy Soco, and Sophie Yalkezian will take part in probably one of the best ways to spend time with their partner on this special day.
