Super Dimension Convention 2022 to bring Macross love to Torrance this Saturday
The 2022 installment of Super Dimension Convention will excite fans of Macross and other mecha anime this Saturday.
The event, which will take place at the Torrance Cultural Art Center in Torrance, California, will feature Guests of Honor Dan Worren, who voiced Roy Fokker in the Robotech anime and Yang Neuman in the Macross Plus anime, and Les Claypool III, who recorded English dubs for anime such as Macross Plus and Ghost In The Shell at their defunct Magnitude 8 recording studio.
Throughout the day, a slew of events will be available for attendees. At the Ken Miller Recreation Center Auditorium, there will be panels involving Worren and Claypool III along with a screening of episode one of Macross 7. The Torino Festival Plaza will have a live musical performance from Phoebe, a performance from Nyan Nyan Maid Cafe, and a Macross idol contest. The schedule can be seen below.
