Subnautica games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 next week

Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero will make their way to the Nintendo Switch 2 next week.

Revealed today, both games will land on the console on February 17. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will feature a slew of visual and performance enhancements. Those who owned the games on the original Nintendo Switch can get the Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack at no additional cost.

Michael Verrette, Producer at Unknown Worlds.said this about both games arriving on the new console:

“What has always made Subnautica special is the community around it, from the stories players share to the discoveries they make and the sense of wonder that comes from exploring an unknown world together. Bringing Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero to Nintendo Switch 2 is about welcoming new players into that community, while giving longtime fans a chance to experience these worlds again in a way that feels fresh, smooth, and more immersive.”

Subnautica 2 is currently in development for release later this year on consoles and PC. More information about the forthcoming game can be found here.
