Steve Aoki and Meta Threads to hold Call of Duty: Warzone tournament on Twitch
Steve Aoki and eSports brand Meta Threads will hold a special Call of Duty: Warzone tournament to celebrate their forthcoming collaboration.
Announced today, the tournament will include some of the biggest streamers in the e-sports, music and sports world. The event will take place on October 19 at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST on Meta Threads’ Twitch channel. While the winner of the 16-team tournament will earn cash prizes, viewers can also earn some cool swag just by watching. Some of the things up for grabs include peripherals from ASUS Republic of Gamers, A-40 headsets from ASTRO Gaming, premium chairs by AKRacing, digital gift cards from KontrolFreak, and Neon Future Comics.
October 19 will also be the launch date for Aoki’s aforementioned collaboration with Meta Threads. The apparel series is inspired by Aoki’s comic book series Neon Future. In a statement, Aoki said:
“My obsession with mixing sci-fi into fashion and music all started when I was a kid reading comic books. I’m thrilled to have Dim Mak collaborate with Meta Threads to showcase the mind-blowing artwork from my “Neon Future” comic series.”
