Star Wars Day 2025: six ways to celebrate in Los Angeles

Star Wars Day is tomorrow (May 4), and most fans of the iconic franchise will find their own way to celebrate. For those looking to enjoy the day with fellow Star Wars fans in Los Angeles, we searched the web to find some exciting events throughout the city. May the 4th Celebration: Exploring the Galaxy 2025
Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (6067 Wilshire Blvd.)

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will host their annual Star Wars celebration with a slew of free activities, such as an R2-D2 meet and greet and a Force show and demonstration courtesy of Skywalker Temple. The museum will also have film screenings for Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Film screenings need a separate ticket.
May the 4th Be With You Party!
Scum & Villainy Cantina (6377 Hollywood Blvd.)

Scum & Villainy Cantina will be THE place to celebrate Star Wars Day. The bar will open at 6 a.m. with door prizes running from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Attendees can sip on some special Star Wars drinks while engaging in trivia and take pictures at various photo ops.
May The Fur Be With You
Resident DTLA (428 South Hewitt St.)

May The Fur Be With You will celebrate Star Wars and raise money for senior dogs in the area. Dress up your dog as a Star Wars character for the dog costume contest, which features prizes such as a $500 dog photo shoot session from Dogma Pet Portraits. RSVP for free entry before 5 p.m.
Lightsaber Workshop
House of Champions Academy of Martial Arts (17228 Saticoy St.)

If you want to spend the day learning how to properly use a lightsaber, House of Champions Academy of Martial Arts will host a special lightsaber workshop. This workshop will be open to ages four and up. Those under the age of 18 must come with a legal guardian or parent.
Star Night: The Force is strong, Sherman Oaks
Temple B'nai Hayim (4302 Van Nuys Blvd.)

LA String Quartet will bring John Williams' iconic music from Star Wars to life with a special concert at Temple B'nai Hayim. The concert is for those ages seven and up, but those under the age of 18 must arrive with a legal guardian or parent.
LUXICON Presents May the 4th at Kiso DTLA
Kiso Los Angeles (107 4th St.)

LUXICON will bring some Star Wars-themed burlesque and drag to Kiso Los Angeles. Audrey DeLuxe, Lena Fumi, Isadora Spreads, Icon Lewis, and Lux LaCroix are among those set to take the stage with more being added soon. This is a 21+ event.
