Star Wars Celebration 2020 officially cancelled

The 2020 installment of Star Wars Celebration is officially cancelled.

The organizers behind the event made the announcement today:

“At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020.”

Fans who had tickets to this year’s event can get a refund or transfer tickets to the next Star Wars Celebration, which takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California from August 18 to 21, 2022. More information can be found here.

2022 will see the Disney+ release of the live-action Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which finds Ewan McGregor reprising their beloved role.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
