Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds announced at The Game Awards 2024

The beloved mashup of Sonic and kart racing is coming back.

Revealed last night at The Game Awards, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be unveiled soon on consoles and PC. An announcement trailer for the game can be found here. A developer hasn’t been announced yet, but we could assume Sumo Digital will be back for their fourth Sega kart racing title.

A statement about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds reads:

Revealed during the show was Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the racing game featuring the iconic characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog™ universe. The game features a distinct racing mechanic that promises to transport Sonic racing fans into a new dimension.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will follow Team Sonic Racing, which gained nominations at the 2018 Game Critics Awards and 2019 Independent Game Developers' Association Awards for Best Racing Game.
