Smurfs Kart races onto the Nintendo Switch this winter

Beloved franchise The Smurfs will be heading to the Nintendo Switch this winter.
Announced yesterday, publisher Microids, in collaboration with Smurfs license holder IMPS, will release Smurfs Kart. The game is being developed by Eden Games, who are best known for their games Gear.Club Unlimited, Test Drive Unlimited, and V-Rally. More information about the title will be released soon.
This won’t be the first Smurfs racing game to hit the market. In 2001, Smurf Racer! was released on the PlayStation. The last Smurfs video game released was 2013’s The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound. A Smurfs movie is in the works via Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon with a planned release in 2024.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
