Shin Megami Tensei 30th anniversary concert announced for Anime Expo 2023
While Persona received a ton of love for its 25th anniversary, many Shin Megami Tensei fans were wondering if that particular series would get the same kind of attention for its 30th anniversary. Fortunately, a celebration will go down at one of the biggest anime conventions in North America.
Announced yesterday, Atlus will hold a 30th anniversary concert celebrating the music of Shin Megami Tensei. The event, which is called Shin Megami Tensei 30th LIVE: Band of Shadows Concert, will take place at The Novo on July 1 as an exclusive event for Anime Expo attendees. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at a later date. The concert is produced in collaboration with soundtrec and SOHO Live. Fans can sign up for the newsletter here for more information about the concert.
Since its debut in 1992, the Shin Megami Tensei series spawned the aforementioned spin-off series Persona as well as spin-off series Devil Summoner, Digital Devil Saga, Megami Tensei Gaiden, Majin Tensei, Devil Children a.k.a. DemiKids, and Devil Survivor. The last game in the series was 2021’s Shin Megami Tensei V, which is out on the Nintendo Switch.
Another anniversary concert/event will take place at Japan’s KT Zepp Yokohama on May 5 and May 6.
