RVG release "Don't Take It Badly / Pet Sematary"
Australian rock band RVG delivered their double single "Don't Take It Badly / Pet Sematary" yesterday.
“Don’t Take It Badly” is RVG’s first piece of new music since the release of their 2023 studio album Brain Worms. Alongside the new single is the band’s cover of The Ramones’ classic song “Pet Sematary.”
Vocalist Romy Vager said this about "Don't Take It Badly / Pet Sematary,” which is out on digital services right now:
“Don’t Take It Badly is a song about how change isn’t always a romantic thing and can sometimes feel pretty ugly. It’s a winter song that I wrote in the summer.
We all love the Ramones. And started playing this in rehearsal and it instantly clicked. The lyrics are such an underrated part of Ramones’ songs, there’s a lot of imagery in this song that I love dearly.”
"Don't Take It Badly / Pet Sematary" arrives a week before RVG’s tour across the U.K. and Europe. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
