Rooster Fighter anime comes to Adult Swim in March

Adult Swim is adding a brand-new anime title to its iconic Toonami block next month.
Announced today, Rooster Fighter will debut on Toonami on Saturday, March 14 at midnight. The 12-episode series will air in an English dub. A new trailer can be seen here. The anime was co-produced by Sanzigen (BanG Dream!, Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers) and Sola Entertainment (Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Rick and Morty: The Anime).
Michael Ouweleen, president, Adult Swim said this about the show:
“‘Rooster Fighter’ is the kind of show that immediately answers the question ‘yes, but what if a rooster did it?’ and then never looks back. It’s ridiculous, wildly sincere, and packed with talon-powered action.”
A synopsis for Rooster Fighter reads:
The adaptation of Shu Sakuratani’s manga “Rooster Fighter” follows “cock-about town” Keiji. More than just an ordinary rooster—he’s humanity’s greatest defender! When strange creatures suddenly appear and start attacking, he confronts them head-on while scoffing: “You make my crown curl!” His opponents may be ten stories tall, but nothing is bigger than his stout heart and his fearsome battle cry—Kokekokko!
Previous volumes of the Rooster Fighter manga are available on VIZ Media here.
