Dream pop duo Robbie & Mona (Pet Shimmers) announce debut album 'EW,' release single "Wallpaper"

Dream pop duo Robbie & Mona, which features Pet Shimmers members William Carkeet and Eleanor Gray, have announced their debut album EW.

The nine-track album, which was revealed yesterday, is slated for a January 29 release via Spinny Nights. The first single from the release titled “Wallpaper” can be heard below. The accompanying music video was produced by the act alongside Indianna Rivers. When it comes to the song, Gray stated:

“It's about feeling quite passive and ghost-like, like you’re in the wrong realm, just an observer. The intro vocals were delivered without any thought in a bit of a daze. I think the tightness of the music was weirdly inspired by Napoleon Dynamite. We were watching it and really enjoyed how all the songs towards the end were just so deadpan.”
