Quinquis releases new song "Netra Ken"
Émilie Tiersen a.k.a. Quinquis has released their new single "Netra Ken" today.
The new song, which comes from Quinquis’ forthcoming studio album Seim, includes an intro done in Welsh by writer/endurance cyclist Emily Chappell. When it comes to having multiple languages on the forthcoming album, Quinquis said:
"I think languages are a living way of telling people’s mind and culture, their diversity brings us closer and helps us understand better. That’s why I was happy to have Welsh and Faroese along with Breton in the record… they are somehow cultures that seem close to mine.”
Seim will be released on May 20 via Mute Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
Quinquis will be on the road alongside Algiers and Yann Tiersen in support of the album in the following months. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
