Chicago pop rock band Push Puppets have unveiled another taste of their upcoming album Tethered Together today.
“This Whole Endeavor” tells the tale of a relationship gone sour. Vocalist Erich Specht said this about the song, which can be heard here:
"I get a kick out of referring to love at first sight as ‘a trainwreck just about to happen’. My Pete Townshend fandom might be apparent in this one between the 70s synth phrases and guitar smacks. As much as I hate to admit it, after reflecting on the lyrics, it seems clear that this song is somewhat about the relationship with my ex-wife.”
Tethered Together is slated to arrive on May 16 via Flowering Tree Music. This will be the follow up to Push Puppets’ 2022 studio album Allegory Grey. Physical pre-orders for the forthcoming album can be made here. Push Puppets will hold an album release show at Robert's Westside in Forest Park, IL on May 30. Tickets for the show are on sale to the general public right now here.
