Predictions for Wrestlemania 37 (Bad Bunny, AJ Styles, The Riott Squad)
Wrestlemania 37 is this weekend, and fans worldwide are excited to catch the first live WWE event since lockdown took place last year. We give some predictions on who’ll pick up the victory during the two-night event. Wrestlemania will take place Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m PST on Peacock.
Night one (April 10)
Bobby Lashley (c) vs Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship
Drew McIntrye gets a second chance at going for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Unfortunately, they'll be facing a major task as they face Bobby Lashley. With Lashley winning the championship a month ago, it'll be disheartening to watch them drop the belt without having a decent run. Lashley as WWE Championship can deliver some grand main events down the line. Expect The Almighty to retain and set their sights on their next opponent.
Prediction: Lashley retains the WWE Championship
Cesaro vs Seth Rollins
Cesaro vs Seth Rollins will easily go down as one of the most impressive matches during Wrestlemania. Both wrestlers have faced each other countless times in tag team matches, but they've rarely squared off in singles competition since 2015. While Rollins has had stellar Wrestlemania moments, the Cesaro Section will be loud for this match. Expect Cesaro to have their arm raised.
Prediction: Cesaro
Tag Team Turmoil Match
The Tag Team Turmoil Match for a shot at the Women's Tag Team Championship will be full of combatants ready to take on the champs. As the only tag team in the match with history, expect The Riott Squad to earn their title shot the following night.
Prediction: The Riott Squad
Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
Originally planned for Fastlane, Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon can be considered a cool down match for many in the stadium and at home. With the steel cage involved, you can expect McMahon to deliver their patented dive through a table. In the end, Strowman walks away victorious, and McMahon disappears until their next random appearance.
Prediction: Strowman
The New Day (c) vs AJ Styles and Omos for the Raw Tag Team Championship
This tag team match will be an important one for Omos. The Nigerian will have their in-ring debut at Wrestlemania, which can deliver a slew of nerves. With AJ Styles on their side, the tag team match against The New Day will be a rough one. Expect Styles to aid Omos in their first title win in a momentous match.
Prediction: AJ Styles and Omos win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
Bad Bunny and Damien Priest vs The Miz and John Morrison
This will be a definite must-see match for both casual and diehard fans. For Damien Priest, this will be one of their biggest matches ever on the main roster with platinum-selling superstar Bad Bunny as their tag partner. Expect Bad Bunny to get the pinfall over The Miz to secure the win.
Prediction: Bad Bunny and Damien Priest
Sasha Banks (c) vs Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship
Headlining night one of Wrestlemania, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair will do what they can to tear down the house. In the end, expect Belair to win the championship over Banks.
Prediction: Belair wins the SmackDown Women's Championship
Night two (April 11)
Riddle (c) vs Sheamus for the United States Championship
With the United States Championship on the line, Riddle and Sheamus will go to war to walk away as the winner. While they found tag team success as one half of The Bar, Sheamus hasn't had a singles championship run since winning the WWE World Heavyweight Champion back in 2015. With a heel turn following the Royal Rumble, a championship win for Sheamus can lead to a resurgence in the Irish wrestler.
Prediction: Sheamus wins the United States Championship
Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn
It's always a beautiful thing when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn throw hands against each other. Aside from the obvious spot involving Logan Paul, fans will be in for one exciting match between two of the business' best wrestlers. This one can go either way, but we're putting money on Owens.
Prediction: Kevin Owens
Big E (c) vs Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship
After a string of losses, Apollo Crews needs to make an impact at Wrestlemania. For Big E, dropping the Intercontinental Championship won't hurt their career with a potential world championship run in the future.
Prediction: Apollo Crews wins the Intercontinental Championship
The Fiend vs Randy Orton
The last time The Fiend and Orton faced each other at Wrestlemania, the ring canvas was covered in insects. This time around, fans can expect something just as outrageous with Alexa Bliss on Wyatt's side. Expect The Fiend to get their revenge on Orton.
Prediction: The Fiend
Asuka (c) vs Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship
While Rhea Ripley suffered a defeat at last year's Wrestlemania, this will be their first time competing as part of the main roster. Taking on Raw Women's Championship Asuka will be a massive challenge, but Ripley will officially show the WWE Universe why they're the future of the business.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley wins the Raw Women's Championship
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs The Riott Squad for the Women's Tag Team Championship
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler have been one of the most impressive teams to hold the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Following a tumultuous 2020, The Riott Squad are looking to make their voices heard with a surprising win over the champs.
Prediction: The Riott Squad win the Women’s Tag Team Championship
Roman Reigns (c) vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Universal Championship
The triple-threat match for the WWE Universal Championship will be a hot one as Roman Reigns has to overcome Royal Rumble winner Edge and Daniel Bryan to retain the title. Expect Reigns to do just that and continue their reign as head of the table.
Prediction: Roman Reigns retains the WWE Universal Championship
