Poppy announces new album 'Flux,' releases title track

Weeks after dropping their Eat (NXT Soundtrack) EP, Poppy has unveiled details on their new studio album.

Today, the artist announced Flux is slated for a September 24 on Sumerian Records. The album was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who is best known for their work with M83 and St. Vincent. The title track from the album arrives with a music video directed by the artist in collaboration with Australian visual/sculpture artist Pip & Pop. The visual and album art can be seen below.

Pre-orders for Flux can be made here. This will be the proper follow-up to Poppy’s 2020 studio album I Disagree, which peaked at number five on the Hard Rock Albums chart. The album landed Poppy their first Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance with the track “Bloodmoney.” Poppy became the first female solo artist to get nominated in this category in its 30-year existence.
