Pokemon Snap returns to the Nintendo Switch

Pokemon Snap is finally getting a sequel.

Announced today, New Pokemon Snap will be released on the Nintendo Switch. The game is being developer by Bandai Namco. No release date has been set, but a game trailer can be seen below.

Released in 1999, Pokemon Snap allowed players to take photos of Pokemon in their natural habitat. Players could send their cartridges to Blockbuster to have them printed out on stickers. A contest was held where the person with the best photo won a trip to Australia. There’s no word if Nintendo will do the same with the sequel, but you never know!

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
