Phoneboy announce new album 'Heartbreak Designer" and headlining tour

New Jersey indie rock band Phoneboy have announced their third studio album today.

Heartbreak Designer will be released on April 25 via AWAL. To celebrate the announcement, Phoneboy have unveiled their new single “Better Than You.” An accompanying music video for the tune directed by Lianne Rose Richards can be seen here.

Phoneboy said this about their forthcoming album, which can be pre-saved here:

“This is the most complete record we’ve made. It’s still us at the core, but we pushed ourselves further creatively. We’re really proud of Heartbreak Designer—it’s easily the best thing we’ve done so far. It’s our second time recording in Brooklyn with Ayad Al Adhamy, and this time we’ve got Jordan Torres on keys and vocals, which adds a whole new layer to the sound. We tried out a bunch of new ideas on this record, taking more inspiration from other genres and music we love. The reaction to the lead single, ‘I Look Alive,’ has been amazing at shows, and we can’t wait to bring the rest of the songs to stages across the country.”

Starting this month, Phoneboy will be supporting Good Kid on tour before embarking on their own headlining trek in May. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets for Phoneboy’s shows with Good Kid are live right now while pre-sale tickets for their headlining tour will launch on Monday (February 10). Tickets can be purchased here.
