Phasmophobia will finally hit consoles
Popular horror game Phasmophobia will finally make its way to consoles soon.
Revealed yesterday, the game will make its way to PlayStation 5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X/S in early access on October 29 just in time for Halloween. A new console release date trailer can be seen here. The game was originally slated to hit consoles in August 2023.
Daniel Knight, CEO and Lead Developer at Kinetic Games said this about the forthcoming console launch:
“We are so happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access. The community has been asking for console versions, and has waited a little while for it to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games have worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”
The PC version of Phasmophobia will also gain a new update fixing bugs, improving overall performance, and bringing in a new event board with new challenges and rewards.
A synopsis for Phasmophobia reads:
Phasmophobia is a 4-player, online co-op, psychological horror game. You and your team of paranormal investigators will enter haunted locations filled with paranormal activity and try to gather as much evidence as you can. Use your ghost-hunting equipment to find and record evidence to sell on to a ghost removal team.
