Persona5: The Phantom X panel announced for Anime Expo

Persona5: The Phantom X will make its way to Anime Expo.

Announced today, a panel for the forthcoming mobile/PC game will go down on Saturday, July 5 at the Petree Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. The panel will feature a behind-the-scenes discussion with staff and a special musical performance from Lyn Inaizumi singing songs from the Persona 5 soundtrack. There will also be freebies for everyone attending.

Persona5: The Phantom X will be released globally on June 26 on mobile phones and PC (via Steam). Pre-registration for the game can be made here. A synopsis for the title reads:

The Persona series, which has sold over 22 million copies worldwide, welcomes its first mobile/PC release with its newest entry. Featuring a brand-new story and a cast of captivating new characters, the world of P5X offers an experience that both Persona5 fans and newcomers alike can enjoy.

After awakening from a nightmare, the protagonist is thrust into a changed world drained of hope... And the new faces he encounters are no less strange: an eloquent owl named Lufel, a long-nosed man and a beauty donned in blue.

As he navigates the mysterious realms of the Metaverse and the Velvet Room, and grapples with ruinous visions that threaten his everyday life, he must discover what there is to take from this new world—and all in true Phantom Thief style.
