Path of Exile Royale Showdown arrives on Twitch Rivals tomorrow (Thursday)

Path of Exile’s royale mode will make its way to Twitch Rivals tomorrow (Thursday, July 29).

Taking place at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST on Twitch Rivals’ channel, the competition will find 50 duos battling for the grand prize of $5,000 and six in-game outfits. The game will go down in the match point format, which means players will get points for their teams based on kills and placements. After the eighth match, the current first-place team’s points will be set as the match point threshold, which means any team earning that many points in a game can win the whole thing by placing first. If no one wins by match point after the 12th game, the team with the most points will win.

Royale mode returned to Path of Exile through their Expedition expansion, which is out on consoles and PC. Path of Exile 2 is slated to arrive sometime in 2022 with a brand new seven-act storyline. More information about Path of Exile can be found on its website.
