Pac-Man 99 to shut down online services in October

Nintendo Switch exclusive battle royale title Pac-Man 99 will be shutting down this fall.

Revealed yesterday, the game’s online services will go offline on Sunday, October 8 at 12 a.m. EST/9 p.m. PST, and it’ll be delisted. This summer, certain portions of the game will be unavailable. On Tuesday, August 8 at 5 a.m. EST/8 a.m. PST, paid custom themes will be discontinued. On Friday, September 8 at 5 a.m. EST/8 a.m. PST, the Pac-Man 99 Deluxe Pack and Pac-Man 99 Mode Unlock will be discontinued. Fortunately, the game (CPU Battle, Blind Time Attack, and Score Attack) and its accompanying DLC can be played offline after the servers shut down.

Released on the Nintendo Switch Online in 2021, Pac-Man 99 was created by Tetris 99 developers Arika.

Last year saw the releases of Pac-Man World Re-Pac, which is a remastered version of Pac-Man World, and Pac-Man compilation title Pac-Man Museum +.
