Revealed today, Overwatch 2 will feature skins based on characters from the beloved anime Cowboy Bebop. Players will be greeted to skins such as Cassidy as Spike Spiegel, Ashe as Faye Valentine , Sombra as Ed, and Mauga as Jet Black. Wrecking Ball as Ein will be free for players, and there will also be emotes and highlight intros based on the anime. The Overwatch 2 x Cowboy Bebop event will go live on March 12; skins will officially be revealed on March 11.
Since its initial release, Cowboy Bebop has been adapted into video games and a live-action adaptation on Netflix. Cowboy Bebop can be streamed on Crunchyroll right now.
A synopsis for Cowboy Bebop reads:
The Bebop crew is just trying to make a buck. This motley lot of intergalactic loners teams up to track down fugitives and turn them in for cold hard cash. Spike is a hero whose cool façade hides a dark and deadly past. The pilot Jet is a bruiser of a brute who can’t wait to collect the next bounty. Faye Valentine is a femme fatale prone to breaking hearts and separating fools from their money. Along for the ride are the brilliant, but weird, hacker Ed and a super-genius Welsh Corgi named Ein.
Overwatch 2 is free to play on consoles and PC right now.
