One song predicted John Cena's heel turn days before it happened
Over the weekend, WWE superstar John Cena shocked the wrestling community by turning heel for the first time since 2003 at the Elimination Chamber PLE. While many wrestling fans have wanted the multi-time WWE Champion to make the turn for years, one person is getting attention for a song released days before it happened.
Budding indie wrestler and VTuber Sora Okami has delivered a handful of original songs on their YouTube channel. On February 24, Okami released the John Cena-based track "The Last Time Is Now" (2025 Heel Turn)”. With a photo of John Cena in front of the Elimination Chamber logo as the thumbnail, the nu-metal song gives Cena’s iconic entrance theme a darker tone with Okami rapping lines such as “I used to fight for the kids/I used to smile in pain/But now I fight for myself/I’m off the chain.” An accompanying video for the song can be seen here.
With John Cena’s win at the Elimination Chamber, they’re set to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. Cena has faced Rhodes on numerous occasions when Rhodes was a member of The Legacy with Randy Orton and Ted Dibiase Jr. WrestleMania 41 will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and April 20. Tickets for WrestleMania 41 are on sale to the general public right now here. The event will be livestreamed on Peacock in the United States, and it’ll be available internationally on Netflix.
