Platinum-selling artist (and Magic: The Gathering enthusiast) Post Malone is giving one lucky person the opportunity of a lifetime.
Announced yesterday, the artist is looking for one person to challenge in a game of Magic: The Gathering. The winner will gain $100k courtesy of live shopping platform Whatnot. Malone will pick their opponent live on the Whatnot app on August 4 at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST. Interested people can simply tap the “enter giveaway” button during the livestream for a chance to win.
While expert MTG players will enter, inexperienced people are encouraged to apply. Whoever is chosen will gain special training from Reid Duke, who landed in the Magic: The Gathering Hall of Fame in 2019. The battle will go down live in Los Angeles on August 11.
Last month, Malone dropped their fourth studio album Twelve Carat Toothache, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
