NYC pop artist rlyblonde releases "Dumb Blonde" music video
NYC pop artist Carina Allen b.k.a. rlyblonde has delivered the music video for their new single “Dumb Blonde” today.
The visual, which can be seen below, was directed and produced by the artist through their production company Hot Creative. The visual features a slew of callbacks to previous rlyblonde releases as well as including outfits featured in previous music videos. The artist said this about working on their own visuals:
“Directing and producing my own videos is such an integral part of making music for me. I’m not just writing songs, I’m building an entire visual world for people to escape into.”
Recently, rlyblonde has been teaming up with producer and multi-instrumentalist Robbie Guariglia (The Veronicas, Native Sun) for a slew of new music slated to arrive soon. The artist said this about working with Guariglia:
“It’s been such a gift to work with someone who is willing to take the time to properly flesh out a song and sound, who wants to really understand what is going on inside my brain, and who can help me translate all of that into my music. It’s been invaluable and I think it shows in the music.”
“Dumb Blonde” is out on digital services right now here. Tonight (May 16), rlyblonde will be performing at the Knitting Factory with Talon, Monarch, and Big Girl. Tickets for this 21+ show can be purchased here. The artist will also perform at Arlene’s Grocery on June 20 with Shalom, Olivia Reid, and Effy Marella. Tickets for that 21+ show are on sale right now here.
