Nintendo teaming up with LEGO for LEGO Game Boy

Nintendo and LEGO are teaming up for another nostalgic collaboration.

Today, LEGO announced the LEGO Game Boy, which is slated for an October 2025 release. A short trailer, which can be seen below, shows various pieces of the LEGO set falling in slow motion. More information about the release will be made soon.

LEGO Game Boy is another collaboration between the two companies. In 2020, LEGO unveiled the LEGO version of the original NES console. Last year, LEGO unveiled sets for Nintendo franchises Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda. Since 2020, LEGO has unveiled sets for the iconic Nintendo mascot Super Mario. A phone app for the Mario sets titled Lego Super Mario that “enhances the creative experience for builders with digital instructions, tips for different ways to rebuild levels and play, and other inspiring features.”

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
