Nickel Creek release new single “Holding Pattern"
Grammy-winning bluegrass band Nickel Creek released their new single “Holding Pattern” today.
The track comes with a music video directed by Josh Goleman, which can be seen below. The band said this about the new song:
“The circular contrapuntal guitar figures are reminiscent of a holding pattern, a term often invoked during the early stages of the pandemic. Here’s to true love keeping us airborne when it isn’t safe to land.”
“Holding Pattern" comes from Nickel Creek’s forthcoming studio album Celebrants, which will be released on March 24 via Thirty Tigers. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. This follows the band’s 2014 studio album A Dotted Line, which earned two Grammy nominations.
Nickel Creek will be promoting the record with their first headlining tour across the country since 2014. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
