New York acoustic rock band Mayor’s House release debut single “Poetry”

New York acoustic rock act Mayor’s House, which features Emily Morris (guitar/vocals), Jeffrey Allen (bass/uke), and Eli Meyers (drums/bass), unveiled their debut single “Poetry” on Friday.

The single comes with a music video, which can be seen below. Morris said this about the band’s first single, which is out on digital services right now:

"This song is a nostalgic throwback to nights spent in my childhood bedroom silently strumming my guitar. It’s like a page from my high school diary; it’s how I kept track of my feelings and what was happening in my life. This song, at its core, was written to live in my desk drawer, never to be seen again, but Jeff and Eli helped me pull it out of the shadows and ultimately made it what it is today.”

Mayor’s House will continue building momentum with more music and live shows in the following months. Follow the band on Instagram for more updates.
